More November Mail

I had an unusual amount of free time this week so I got around to posting my mail fairly early thus the smaller quantity.  There are 16 total new autographs to show, 12 for my NHL project.  My total of unique NHL autographs now stands at 3,458.

This week or next I will be posting some of my collection, which I have organized by year of debut.  I will be posting all my autographs for players who made their debuts between 2005 and 2010 so stay tuned!

Allan Stanley
Hockey Hall of Famer Allan Stanley had a very long and very accomplished NHL career.  He played well over 1200 games in the NHL between 1948 and 1969.  The 3 time NHL All-Star helped the Toronto Maple Leafs claim the Stanley Cup on four occasions; 1962, 1963, 1964 and 1967.

Enver Lisin
Between 2006 and 2010 Russian forward Enver Lisin played 135 games in the NHL scoring 24 goals and 42 points.  He spent most of his time with the Phoenix Coyotes but last played for the New York Rangers.

Jakub Petruzalek
Jakub Petruzalek played 2 games for the 2008/2009 Carolina Hurricanes.  The Czech native had originally crossed the ocean to play for the Rangers, who drafted him in 2004 but traded him to Carolina in 2006.

Tomas Mojzis
Originally drafted by the Toronto Maple Leafs in 2001, Tomas Mojzis made his NHL debut with the 2005/2006 Vancouver Canucks.  He would also go on to see some brief playing time with the 2006/2007 St. Louis Blues and 2008/2009 Minnesota Wild.  He scored 1 goal and 3 points in 17 career NHL games.

Dustin Byfuglien
A 2 time NHL All-Star, Dustin Byfuglien has been one of the league's premier defensemen since helping Chicago win the Stanley Cup in 2010.  Big Buff was one of the Blackhawks' most important pieces of the 2010 Cup run, scoring 11 goals in 22 playoff games.

Jordan Nolan
Jordan Nolan's father, Ted, and brother, Brandon, have both also played in the NHL.  Jordan brook into the league with the 2011/2012 Los Angeles Kings, winning the Stanley Cup as a rookie.  He's been a full time member of the Kings since helping them win the Cup.

Casey Cizikas
Since 2011 Casey Cizikas has played nearly 100 games for the New York Islanders.

Dave Dziurzynski
Dave Dziurzynski scored 2 goals in 12 games for the 2012/2013 Ottawa Senators.  Here is a wonderfully written Globe & Mail article about his career and struggle to make the NHL.

Scott King
University of Maine alumni Scott King saw time in 2 NHL games with the Detroit Red Wings in the early 1990s.

Darryl Williams
Darryl Williams played 2 games for the 1992/1993 Los Angeles Kings.  He recorded 2 fights but no points in his short NHL career.  He has been an assistant coach of the Vancouver Canucks since 2008.  This made him the first Newfoundlander to coach in the NHL.

Ryan Huska
A 'one game wonder,' Ryan Huska dressed in a single game for the 1997/1998 Chicago Blackhawks.  Since 2007 he has been the head coach of the WHL's Kelowna Rockets.

Todd Bidner
Todd Bidner played 12 games for the 1981/1982 Washington Capitals.  He scored 2 goals and 3 points.

As usual I'll end the post with some hockey autographs that fall outside of my NHL collection.

John Migneault
John Migneault spent 4 full season in the WHA, playing 250+ games between the Philly/Vancouver Blazers and Phoenix Roadrunners.  He scored 49 goals and 110 points in his WHA career, which lasted 1972 and 1976.

Mike Sleep
Mike Sleep played 22 games in the WHA for the Phoenix Roadrunners between 1975 and 1977.

The next two items came from Madbrothers.com, your one stop shopping for all Slapshot related memorabilia.  I have tried sending requests to both actors but with no success I bit the bullet and bought a couple signed 8x10s.
Allan Nicholls
Allan Nicholls has had a few notable acting jobs but goes into my collection for the role he played on Slapshot.  In the best hockey movie ever made he plays the Chiefs' captain, Johnny Upton.
Ross Smith
Ross Smith had a very minor role in Slapshot as opposing player Barclay Donaldson.  Not only am I crossing a name of my Slapshot cast wantlist but I'm also crossing a name off my WHA wantlist with this autograph.  Ross Smith played 15 games for the 1974/1975 Indianapolis Racers.
