Month of Mail - February 2022

Three new NHL player autographs added this past month. TTM returns continue to be very slow this year but was thrilled to get a reply from Yves Beaudoin. The grand total of unique NHL player autographs in the collection is now 7,079 for 90% of everyone to ever play in the league.

                           Andy Blair (d. 1977)
Andy Blair played over 400 games in the NHL between 1928 and 1937. He won the Stanley Cup in 1932 with the Maple Leafs.

                      Yves Beaudoin
From 1984 to 1988 Yves Beaudoin played 11 games in the NHL with the Washington Capitals. The defenseman played Senior Pro hockey in Quebec until 2002.

                               Justin Kloos
An undrafted University of Minnesota alumni, Justin Kloos played 2 games in the NHL. He played 1 game with the 2017-18 Minnesota Wild and 1 game with the 2018-19 Anaheim Ducks.

                                    Jim Grant
Jim Grant dressed as Edmonton's backup goalie in 1 NHL game (Jan. 27, 1980). He was an emergency backup goalie who had only played college and never turned pro. This goes with my collection of NHL backup only goalies.

                      Blaine Peterson (d. 2020)
Blaine Peterson dressed in 7 NHL games as a backup goalie with the 1976/77 Vancouver Canucks. He dressed as Curt Ridley's backup. Peterson was a junior player at the time of Vancouver's recall and only ended up playing 1 professional hockey game with the 77/78 IHL's Kamloops Wings.

                    Kent Hughes
Kent Hughes was a college hockey player who found much success as an NHL player agent. He was recently named the General Manager of the Montreal Canadiens. His brother, Ryan Hughes, briefly played in the NHL. This goes with my collection of NHL managers and coaches who never played in the NHL.
