Month of Mail - July 2021

The month of July 2021 saw 19 new NHL autographs added, highlighted by some unexpected TTM returns.  The grand total of unique NHL player autographs in the collection now stands at 7,039 for 89% of everyone to play in the league. 


                       Bob DeCourcy (d. 2012)
Bob DeCourcy played 1 game in the NHL with the 1947/48 New York Rangers.

                          Nick Knott (d. 1987)
Nick Knott scored 3 goals and 4 points in 14 career NHL games with the 1941/42 Brooklyn Americans.

                       Ian MacIntosh (d. 1993)
Ian MacIntosh played 4 games in the NHL with the 1952/53 New York Rangers.

                        Gino Rozzini (d. 1996)
Gino Rozzini scored 5 goals and 15 points in 31 career NHL games with the 1944/45 Boston Bruins.

                       Obie O'Brien (d. 2011)
Ellard "Obie" O'Brien played 2 games in the NHL with the 1955/56 Boston Bruins. He spent years as captain of the AHL's Hershey Bears, leading them to multiple Calder Cup championships.

                        Dick Butler (d. 2000)
Dick Butler scored 2 goals in 7 career NHL games with the 1947/48 Chicago Blackhawks.

                     Lloyd Gronsdahl (d. 1989)
Lloyd Gronsdahl scored 1 goal and 2 assists in 10 career NHL games with the 1941/42 Boston Bruins.

                       Bart Bradley (d. 2006)
Barton "Bart" Bradley played 1 game in the NHL with the 1949/50 Boston Bruins. Internationally, he won a Gold medal at the 1959 World Championships with Canada.

                       Lin Bend (d. 1978)
Lin Bend scored 3 goals in 8 career NHL games with the 1942/43 New York rangers.

                      Hal Brown (d. 1997)
Harold "Hal" Brown scored 2 goals in 13 career NHL games with the 1945/46 New York Rangers.

                      Art Michaluk (d. 2006)
Arthur "Art" Michaluk played 5 games in the NHL with the 1947/48 Chicago Blackhawks.

                         Wayne Smith
Wayne Smith played 2 regular season and 1 playoff game in the NHL with the 1966/67 Chicago Blackhawks. He scored a goal and an assist for 2 points in 2 regular season NHL games.

                           Gord Wilson
Gord Wilson played 2 games in the NHL with the 1954/55 Boston Bruins. Both games came during the playoffs. 

                          Stephane Roy
Stephane Roy played 12 games in the NHL with the 1987/88 Minnesota North Stars. He's the brother of legendary NHL goalie Patrick Roy.

                              Don Cutts
Don Cutts dressed as an NHL backup for a few games with the 1976/77 New York Islanders. He later returned to the NHL with the Edmonton Oilers and played 6 NHL games with the 1979/80 Oilers. 

                        Real Lemieux (d. 1975)
From 1966 to 1974 Real Lemieux scored 155 points in 457 regular season games in the NHL. He was a member of the Red Wings, Kings, Ranges and Sabres. 

                            Ross Cory
From 1979 to 1981 defenseman Ross Cory recorded 12 points in 51 career NHL games with the Winnipeg Jets. 

                           Dave Hoyda (d. 2015)
From 1977 to 1981 Dave Hoyda played 132 games in the NHL between the Philadelphia Flyers and Winnipeg Jets. A left winger, he scored 6 goals and 23 points in the NHL.

                     Jake Chelios
An undrafted Michigan State University alumni, Jake Chelios played 5 games in the NHL with the 2018/19 Detroit Red Wings. He's best known as the son of Chris Chelios.

                         Jack Riley (d. 2016)
Jack Riley is best remembered as the first ever General Manager of the Pittsburgh Penguins. He held the position from 1967 to 1970 and again from 1972 to 1974.

                          Jenny Potter
Jenny Potter was a long time member of the US Women's National team. At the Olympics, she helped USA win Gold in 1998, silver in 2002 and 2006 as well as bronze in 2010.
